Large format work made across northern Thailand and the Andaman coast. One camera, one lens, and a great deal of waiting for the light to do something.
I shoot 4x5 sheet film because it forces me to stop. Setting up takes twenty minutes. By the time the camera is level I have usually changed my mind about the picture, and the second idea is nearly always better than the first.
Everything here is a single exposure. Nothing is composited and nothing is moved. The only work done afterwards is what would have been done in a darkroom: dodging, burning, and deciding where the print ends.
Prints are made in editions of nine, on cotton rag, signed and numbered. Commissions for hotels and private collections are taken twice a year.
Edition prints are sold directly. For commissions, tell me the space, the light it gets, and roughly when you need it. I answer everything within a few days.
